In this note the involvement of the immune system in glomerular injury is discussed: humoral and cell-mediated immune response, and soluble mediators of inflammation play an important role in the development of tissue injury. Clinical and experimental studies are in progress to better define the different pathogenic mechanisms involved in glomerular diseases and to give us new therapeutic approaches.

Abstract
In this note the involvement of the immune system in glomerular injury is discussed: humoral and cell-mediated immune response, and soluble mediators of inflammation play an important role in the development of tissue injury. Clinical and experimental studies are in progress to better define the different pathogenic mechanisms involved in glomerular diseases and to give us new therapeutic approaches.File in questo prodotto:
