Nine bulls of Azawak zebu breed were trained to produce semen in order to utilize in a National artificial insemination program. After 2 months of training four bull were admitted to the Toukounous Artificial Insemination center in the Republic of Niger. Semen after collection were evaluated assessed for number, motility rate (sperm moving with uniform motion) and thermo-resistance test. Characteristics of the semen permitted to prepare the doses that were obtained using commercial extender. After thawing, which are carried out the same tests to verify the characteristics of resistance manual. Data from the fresh semen and after thawing are reported and are practically similar to those reported in literature for people of other races.
