In the year 2009 the revised ecological criteria for the award of the Community eco-label for “tourist accommodation service” have been approved in Bruxelles, with one consent from all the twenty-seven Member States (Commission Decision 2009/578/EC). In the present paper the authors accurately analyze such a normative document, in order to evidence the evolution of the ecological criteria in the tourist sector, keeping in account that is also applicable the recent Regulation (EC) n. 66/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the EU Ecolabel [that has substituted the implemented Regulation (EC) n. 1980/2000].

Abstract
