Tendency of temperatures and snowfall in Maira valley (South-western Piedmont, Italy). The choice on the valley Maira is due to the availability of climatic daily data from 1923, never digitized, for two meteorological stations: Acceglio Saretto (1530 m) and Combamala (915 m). We considered the data of snow depth, fresh snow depth, precipitation and temperatures registered by the ENEL (National Graft for the Energy Elettrique) and at the time of property of AINEVA (Interregional Association Snow and Avalanches). The analysis of historic series leads during November and May, supplied the main climatic trends and to better understand the entity of the change, we calculated the climatic index on the considered period and over the thirty-year period WMO (1971-2000 ). After the strong snowfalls of the last season (November 2008 - March 2009), we used measures of thickness of snow and height of fresh snow of four meteorological stations and we compared the monthly values during the period 2000-2008.
