Digital Death. Le trasformazioni digitali della morte e del lutto

This essay wants to summarize the main features of the so-called Digital Death. It aims at highlighting the most important changes now in progress regarding the end of life, immortality, our grieving process and memory. The essay will therefore describe the so-called “digital ghosts”, underline the way in which social networks can be seen as graveyards, show the changes brought about by technology in our relationship with sickness, analyze high-tech inventions related to funeral rites. The aim is providing the reader with a general outline of how digital technologies have gained a role in the relationship between life and death.
