Gelosia Omicida: analisi criminologica di un caso

This article aims to analyse the topic of jealousy, which can be placed along a continuum that sees, at one extreme, a healthy form of jealousy and, at the other extreme, a pathological form of jealousy. In order to carry out this analysis, a criminological case will be presented. The case concerns a jealous homicidal individual, who was involved in a series of clinical interviews. His life story, from intra-psychological and relational reality, from his childhood up to adulthood, will provide the clinical material to explore the unfolding complexity of homicidal jealousy. The findings of this analysis show the existence of a fine demarcation line between «normality» and «pathology». In particular, jealousy seems to involve both sides, which can lead to different levels of adjustment and maladjustment.
