The European Convention on Human Rights being an international treaty, it is considered ordinary law within the Italian system, pursuant to national regulations concerning this matter. This article focus on the central role played by the different findings of the Italian Constitutional Court on these matters throughout the years and its evolving jurisprudence. Pecuiliars remarks are outlined concerning the role played by the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights in the Italian national system and the enforcement within the same system of the European Court of Human Right's decisions.

Abstract
