Heart worm is a common parasitosis of dogs caused by Dirofilaria immitis. Generally this pathology is associated with renal involvement too. The authors describe one case of filariosis in absence of histological and ultrastructural renal lesions. They report also the description of the morphology of the microphilariae observed with transmission electron microscopy.

Abstract
