The DA Phi NE project at the Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati (LNF) is an e(+)e(-) collider with electron and positron beams accelerated to 510 MeV by a Linac injector. DA Phi NE is designed to reach a top luminosity pound similar to 10(33)cm(-2)s(-1)) that is, to produce similar to 4x10(3) Phi(1020)s(-1). The hypernuclear research program at DA Phi NE relies on low-energy kaons, similar to 16 MeV, being produced by Phi-meson decays at rest: Phi --> K-K+ with a B.R.similar to 49%. In the initial stage, DA Phi NE will operate at a pound similar to 10(32)cm(-2)s(-1), however the number of Phi, produced, and the large geometrical acceptance of the FINUDA detector, similar to 3sr, will allow a strong hypernuclear physics program to be pursued.

Abstract
In the initial stage, DA Phi NE will operate at a pound similar to 10(32)cm(-2)s(-1), however the number of Phi, produced, and the large geometrical acceptance of the FINUDA detector, similar to 3sr, will allow a strong hypernuclear physics program to be pursued.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
