6 ejaculate from two fertile stallions were analized and divided into 4 aliquots. The semen was diluted in Skimmed Milk extender. Standard concetration of glycerol and 3 different concentration of ethilen glycol were tested. Semen was examined with CASA system and submitted to HOS-test to detect functional activity of the membrane. We concluded that ethylen glycol at 3% can substitute Glycerol at 3% and the HOS-test is usefull for additional evaluation of stallion semen.

Abstract
