The authors describe 11 cases of babies with suspected congenital Toxoplasmosis. Certain diagnosis was possible in 7 cases: in 2 cases at birth for the presence of sympatomatology and specific IgM; in 2 other cases the finding of specific IgM enabled to confirm infection within the 3rd month of life and to effect specific therapy with sulfonamides and pyrimethamine; in the 3 remaining cases, diagnosis was possible analyzing the antibody response: antibody titers were stable or fluctuating in the early months of life remaining positive. In 4 cases negativization of antibody titers in the second year of life excluded congenital infection.
