The chapter defines some tracks in the formulation of integrated management plans in mountain forests. Tee basic concept is the confrontation between theoretical and methodological reflections of the scientists from a part, and the experiences realized in an empirical way by the managers from another part. The results are the need of a new paradigm in the planning action, with the importance of an Ecosystem management, the need of new decision tools based on mixed model and the involvement of negotiation.
