Barium hydroxide octahydrate was analyzed for trace element impurities. Ca, Fe, Mg, Sr were determined by inductively coupled atomic emission spectrometry, ICP AES; Cu, Pb, Zn by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry, DPASV; Na and K by flame atomic emission spectrometry, FAES; and finally Cl- by ion chromatography, IC. The concentrations were evaluated with the standard addition method. For most elements, the signals of the spiked and unspiked sample solutions are reported. The analytical procedures reported are discussed with reference to the large matrix effects given by the main component.

Abstract
Barium hydroxide octahydrate was analyzed for trace element impurities. Ca, Fe, Mg, Sr were determined by inductively coupled atomic emission spectrometry, ICP AES; Cu, Pb, Zn by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry, DPASV; Na and K by flame atomic emission spectrometry, FAES; and finally Cl- by ion chromatography, IC. The concentrations were evaluated with the standard addition method. For most elements, the signals of the spiked and unspiked sample solutions are reported. The analytical procedures reported are discussed with reference to the large matrix effects given by the main component.File in questo prodotto:
