The Langmuir model was used to describe the dyeing of nylon 66 fibres with amphiphilic azo dyes. This may include partial solubilization of the dye in the fibre because of the presence of the alkyl side chain. The effect of temperature and time on the dyeing rate is established, and the diffusion coefficients of the dyes are determined. A discussion on the preparation of the dyes is presented.

Abstract
The Langmuir model was used to describe the dyeing of nylon 66 fibres with amphiphilic azo dyes. This may include partial solubilization of the dye in the fibre because of the presence of the alkyl side chain. The effect of temperature and time on the dyeing rate is established, and the diffusion coefficients of the dyes are determined. A discussion on the preparation of the dyes is presented.File in questo prodotto:
