Il postmoderno

The cultural and technological phenomena that cross the contemporary society – whose numerous and diverging analysis have been done – are symptom of deep changes, so that in respect of them the former interpretative schemes reveal to be insufficient. “Postmodern” is a possible characterization of the situation which we live in. “Postmodernism” is therefore, in a negative sense, a way to stress the inadequacy of the modern conceptuality to thorougly grasp the specificity of the contemporary world; but it is also, in a positive sense, the proposal of a not regressive nor nostalgic relation with its past, i.e. the modernity. “Postmodern” is a thought that accepts the challanges of the complexity, of the plurality, of the continuous horizons intersecting caused by the new technologies of communication. On these basis, it re-writes the identification and identity criteria, re-draws the social spaces and ventures dangerously on new border-territories between ethics and technique, politics and market, culture and industrial production.
