A specification model, the PDN (Process and Data Net) model, used in the past years as a modeling tool for an informatio system design methodology, is described. The model deals with the representation of both static and dynamic aspects of a database application, and is based upon an object oriented data model and the Predicate Transition Petri net model.

Abstract
