The scope of the European Ecolabel voluntary scheme is encouraging environmental friendly products and services. The present work analyzes the last product group with the Ecolabel logo, issued with the Commission Decision 2009/894, related with any kind of wooden furniture, both for indoor and outdoor use. Mandatory criteria for ecolabelled wood are mainly related to wood content and its origin; other important criteria are related with any kind of chemical allowed in wood industry.
