A well-known Object-Oriented D.B.M.S. - Objectivity/DB - has been exploited to develop a new Configuration Manager. By means of this, code and related documents such design and specification documents, can be stored and retrieved, changed, versioned and shared by the members of a software Development team. The new Configuration Manager has been developed in C++ extended to the Data Definition Language of Objectivity. In virtue of Object-Oriented data model, the methods developed can be used as Configuration Management Services by higher level applications.
