Nourishment deriving by transgenic seeds is becoming more and more important as a discussion theme. On the one side there are transgenic seed producers who assert the advantages of this science; on the other, the environmentalists and consumers’ associations who want in any case to stop this kind of studies and productions. The principal reasons of this fight are the following: - the need to know the real result on human health - to understand the influence of transgenic plants on the environment and the ecosystem - the importance of biodiversity protection Certainly to follow this kind of studies we need a greater number of experiments, a clear labelling, the birth of competent bodies to guarantee the consumers’ rights.
