The Dynamic Climatology's Contribution of Snow Analysis and Tourist Flows in Susa Valley. - The study examines the climate conditions in the Susa Valley with the aim of interpreting results linked to the tourist trend, from 1990 to 2006. We had recourse to classical climatology, with a monthly analysis of the main nivometric variables. Simultaneously, the monthly values of arrivals facilities, have been analysed in order to find a relation between nivometric and tourist flow trend. Two consecutive winter seasons have been found, 1999-2000 and 2000-2001, that show a very different climate-tourist trend. Given that the succession of weather types affecting Piedmont trongly determines the trend of variables involved, researchers had recourse to dynamic climatology. The latter considers every day, the main meteorological variables analysing their rate, that, alongside the reading of isobaric maps, allowed us to calculate the main air masses and the frontogenesis and interpret the tourist trend in a better way.
