L’altra metà del cielo nella scienza italiana dal Settecento al Novecento. Ricerche e studi recenti

In this paper we present an overview of the binomial ‘culture and scientific research’ in Italy from Eighteenth to Twentieth century as far as concerns the gender studies, through the literature recently appeared in volumes, articles, website, etc. The aim is to show peculiar aspects of the interaction between research and didactic, together with the role played by some important Maestri and to point out new perspectives in the contest of specific fields, socio-political events or special laws, like the racial ones of 1938. At last we focus on the case study of the Gruppo Lastre of the Institut of Physics at the Turin University in the years 1950-1960, when the gender research was prevalent and it won an award by the Italian Physical Society in 1956.
