This paper provides a detailed study for the minimal representations of affine Kac-Moody groups. Moreover, the minimal representation degrees are calculated directly from the root systems of the related groups, this leads to the result that the minimal representation degree and the root system of an affine Kac-Moody group are mutually determined by each other.

Abstract
