A photobiology apparatus equipped with UV (peaks at 300, 350, 400 and 450 mm) and 750 mm IR sources is described. Designed for use in the preliminary examination of light sensitisation and photodermatosis, with a monochromator for high precision work, particularly in the 260-315 mm band, this apparatus is small and easy to handle. It has a switch for the different sources with automatic lighting, an automatic lighting time control, and a double cell actinometer. It is not expensive.

Abstract

A photobiology apparatus equipped with UV (peaks at 300, 350, 400 and 450 mm) and 750 mm IR sources is described. Designed for use in the preliminary examination of light sensitisation and photodermatosis, with a monochromator for high precision work, particularly in the 260-315 mm band, this apparatus is small and easy to handle. It has a switch for the different sources with automatic lighting, an automatic lighting time control, and a double cell actinometer. It is not expensive.
