This paper focuses on the specific motor skills which mainly characterise three sports specialties: volleyball, basketball, and rhythmic gymnastics. After the elaboration of comparison tables, from which the main positions preferred by athletes and the main muscle implications for upper and lower limbs are deduced, important elements of connection between the three moves are highlighted. The study aims at making think about current pedagogical and methodological choices in youth athletic training which lead the motor-sports practice to multilateral training experiences.
