Abstract

The techniques and modes through which territorial data bases are currently produced and, potentially, updated prove to be reliable and accurate tools for the operators as much as they allow to set up diverse operating modes, which help develop territorial planning/management processes. For the purposes of this paper, the Author will analyze the peculiar aspects in both territorial data production procedures and data validation rules. Finally, some application experiences are provided showing how the available supports can be employed in new scenarios, which allows to gain interesting perspectives within the framework of territorial planning/management processes.
