The Aosta Valley has a noticeable geological history and is one of the most interesting Italian region from a mineralogical point of view. Amongst the Valley minerals some species could be found as good gemological raw material, that could be polished and faceted. In the paper we will describe some peculiarities of the most important between these species, some typical localities for the findings, and illustration of rough and faceted samples are shown
