These self-made men have returned from America to their native country with a considerable fortune; however, this round trip has influenced on them in a very different way. Not all of them have the same expectations and purposes, nor were their social relationships alike. They embody different values and patterns of behavior. The aim of this study is to examine the case of Agustín Caballero, always foreigner and still waiting for his life to begin.
