This paper aims to reconstruct the main issues debated in 2012 in the labour law journals members of the International Association of Labour Law Journals. Within the wide variety of issues addressed in the journals in question, it was decided to focus on a matter that was immediately identified as the authentic "theme of the year", that is to say the reforms adopted in response to the severe economic and financial crisis that hit our societies. As for the other themes that attracted particular attention in the legal studies published on the IALLJ journals, it was decided to address them together, distinguishing between the ones that are rooted in the distant past of labour law (focusing on freedom of association, collective bargaining and anti-discrimination law) and those that have come to the fore after the turn of the century (focusing on flexibility, precarious work and decent work); while the final part of this report aims to pave the way for a closer study of specific aspects deemed worthy of individual attention.
