In this paper I will sketch a syncretistic theory of fictional beings, according to which fictional entities are compounds both of a make-believe process type and of a set of the properties corresponding to those mobilized in that process. This theory is syncretistic for it tries to combine the virtue of the two main contemporary approaches to ficta, the neo-Meinongian and the artifacualist. But it is also more conciliatory than that for it tries to combine both an antirealist and a realist perspective on such entities.

Abstract
In this paper I will sketch a syncretistic theory of fictional beings, according to which fictional entities are compounds both of a make-believe process type and of a set of the properties corresponding to those mobilized in that process. This theory is syncretistic for it tries to combine the virtue of the two main contemporary approaches to ficta, the neo-Meinongian and the artifacualist. But it is also more conciliatory than that for it tries to combine both an antirealist and a realist perspective on such entities.File in questo prodotto:
