Congenital megacolon is a pathology rarely met with in cases of sudden death. The AA report results of two post mortems carried out on children aged between 8 and 10 years in whom the disease exploded suddenly and led rapidly to their death. They than discuss the etiopathogenetic mechanism used for determining the deaths and also the relevant aspects for placing the disease under cases of extracardiac sudden death.
