Aggression as a psychopathologic dimension: two case reports

Presentazione di due casi clinici di pazienti che hanno presentato comportamento violento. Herein, two case studies are presented in patients who were admitted to hospital for violent behaviour with the objective was determining whether risk factors of hetero-aggressive behavior in psychiatric patients, as outlined in the international literature,were present in these two cases. After initial presentation of the clinical situation of these two patients, risk factors were identified. Thereafter, we attempted to outline the motivations and context that had driven the violent behavior. We conclude that accurate knowledge of the history and life of the patient and the evolution of the condition over time is indispensable for cure, both in order to develop a treatment intervention strategy that is integrated and focused on the patient’s needs, and to prevent future incidents of aggression
