Summary Qualitative research that characterizes this project was carried out in the Laboratory of Clinical Pedagogy, Department of Medical Sciences, University of Turin. The research involved a group of operators reflecting and studying the use of metaphor as an educational tool in the context of chronic disease. Reflections derive from an a article published by a Norwegian group that deals with patient education. The working group through knowledge and training is able to understand team work and the value of sharing as a key to activate pathways to help people with chronic disease.
