Logici e profeti: occidente e oriente in Wang Guangyi

In this article, I take as a starting point the work of Wang Guangyi so as to analyze some differences of principles and parameters between Eastern and Western philosophy that the artist tries to integrate in favor of a speculative dimension able to open a dialogue between such different paradigms. By analyzing some of the most important theoretical concepts of Wang Guangyi, such as the "principle of directionality" and the "situational logic", I develop the philosophical implications of his artistic work in the light of a different sociological theory of philosophy that integrates the classic distinctions (analytic / continental; east / west), overcoming them.
