The article deals with an analysis of the way in which the issue of food safety is being tackled in the People's Republic of China, The first part will examine the impact of food safety law in the Chinese system ; the second part will analyse a case study, regarding some pilot projects held under the umbrella of the FAO. the concluding paragraph will offer some hints to reflect on the effective possibility for the legal provisions to come into force.
