The study analyses programmes of integrated production in four regions of Northern and Central Italy. In the first part methodological aspects, costs of integrated production and some market aspects are illustrated, together with an outline of their evolution in Italy and Europe. In the main part of the study the integrated production programmes implemented by public institutions (Regions, Provinces, Producer Associations) are described and compared. The concluding part comments upon experiments in integrated production carried out in different regions in Italy.
