The article aims at rethinking the legacy of the debate on the Islamic influences on the Divina Commedia one hundred years after the death of the Spanish philologist Asin Palacios, author of the renown pivotal study on the topic. The article reviews some recent publications on the topic and propose some general comparative reflections.
