The independent Scottish referendum, held last September 18th, suggests some reflexions. The first one about the compatibility between the independent process and the philosophy that inspires the European integration process. The second one on the European Union attempt to submit the secession to the rules of the constituted power. It’s necessary, than, to distinguish between the Scottish and the Catalan independent experience.
