This article describes the so-called “uric acid renal infarcts” sometimes encountered in nursing child and the similarities with those observed occasionally in the kidneys of sucking-pigs and suckling calves: since the anatomical and pathological picture is quite comparable, the Authors believe that these animals could be spontaneous models for the study of this pathology observed in humans.
