Mission Statement Since 1995, The AnaChronisT journal has been a forum of research published under the auspices of the Department of English Studies at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. As editor-in-chief Ágnes Péter summed up its mission in the opening issue, "it is vital to create an intellectual ambience that would encourage a spirit of adventure, a hunger for the new, while preserving a respect for the more traditional scholarly practices worthy of our attention." The AnaChronisT provides an opportunity for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students as well as academics to address a growing audience in print and also in electronic form, while helping scholars of English to keep abreast of recent work in literary and cultural studies, and forging a community of research and academic conversation reaching far beyond Central Europe. The publication is rounded out by a review section. The AnaChronisT is a double-blind peer-reviewed publication indexed by the MLA Bibliography, EBSCO, the Gale Group Databases, and ABELL.
