In the sixteenth question of his commentary to the Sentences (1348-49), the Cistercian Peter of Ceffons shows sometimes an hesitating attitude towards the problems related to fruitio and beatitudo, sometimes instead a greater firmness, especially when other Parisian theologians of his time displayed a good degree of agreement. In doing so, he quotes explicitly English authors of the years 1320-30, but also precedings auctoritates like Thomas Aquinas and John Duns Scotus, and typical themes of discussion of the Oxford calculatores; moreover, only sometimes he agrees with his confrère John of Mirecourt.
