The femoral component positioning in TKA affects the mechanical axis of the inferior limb, the stability of the prosthesis and the patellar tracking. The aim of this chapter is to describe the surgical technique of the implant of the femoral component, with a particular attention to biomechanical aspects.

Abstract
The femoral component positioning in TKA affects the mechanical axis of the inferior limb, the stability of the prosthesis and the patellar tracking.
