A discussion between students and teacher about the use of mobile phones in the classroom can be an interesting opportunity to develop a series of lessons, including both lectures and conversational activities, about the morality and legality of such behavior. The reckoning of the implied fundamentals in the students' positions will be useful to clarify their opinions and, at the same time, to evaluate their strength. In this way, it will be possible to elaborate some alternative proposals to support the point against the use of mobile phones in the classroom. Thus, philosophical contents will be taught and philosophy will be practiced: such activity will provide an effective combination of both transmission and construction of philosophical contents.

Abstract

A discussion between students and teacher about the use of mobile phones in the classroom can be an interesting opportunity to develop a series of lessons, including both lectures and conversational activities, about the morality and legality of such behavior.
