This study presents a previously unpublished Latin translation of the so-called «Last Vision of the Prophet Daniel» (BHG 1874), authored by Ubertino Posculo during his stay in the Constantinopolitan suburb of Pera, in 1454. This translation reflects the interest of contemporaries in the Byzantine apocalyptic tradition, which might be key in explaining the catastrophe of 1453. This edition of Posculo’s translation is introduced by a study of the Greek original and its manuscript tradition and provides a French translation and a commentary.
