The article first proposes to summarize the constitutio textus of Seneca’s Letters, with particular attention to books I-II, which concern people competing for the French agrégation : after the initial stage of the papyrus rolls, the paper concentrates on the increasing codicological units containing epp. 1-52, 53-88, 89-124, then 1-88 and 89-124 and finally 1-124. Secondly, after a brief presentation of the basic manuscripts and the stemma codicum, the texts and critical apparatuses of F. Préchac (CUF) and L. D. Reynolds (OCT) are examined in parallel. Finally, a list of the most controversial passages of books I-II provides an opportunity for an update with the more recent philological bibliography.

Abstract
Finally, a list of the most controversial passages of books I-II provides an opportunity for an update with the more recent philological bibliography.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
