This editorial presents the works included in issue 22 of The Interpreters' Newsletter, specifically focused on corpus-based dialogue interpreting (DI) studies. Before introducing the contributions, the development of corpus-based dialogue interpreting research is described, taking into account the definition of "dialogue interpreting" and the main challenges in corpus development and distribution. To this end, three expert DI researchers were interviewed and their answers are discussed for the following areas: data collection and data sources; quantitative vs. qualitative analysis; future research lines.
