« Le chevalier bien advisé », une imitation du « Chevalier délibéré » d’Olivier de La Marche (ms. Paris, BnF fr. 1691)

Le chevalier bien advisé, daté de 1486, est un récit allégorique en septains d’octosyllabes inspiré du Chevalier deliberé d’Olivier de La Marche. L’article présente le texte, jusqu’à présent inconnu, le situe par rapport au récit de La Marche et, à titre d’exemple, donne la transcription d’un passage : le Parlement d’Atropos (vv. 170-428, ff. 6r-12r). La table des rubriques (ff. 66r-69r), transcrite en annexe, permet d’avoir un aperçu du contenu dans son ensemble. Le chevalier bien advisé (the well-advised knight), dated 1486, is an allegorical story in octosyllabic septains inspired by Olivier de La Marche’s The Resolute Knight. The article presents the text, hitherto unknown, situates it in relation to the La Marche narrative and, by way of example, gives the transcription of a passage: the Parliament of Atropos (vv. 170-428, ff. 6r-12r). The table of the headings (ff. 66r-69r), transcribed in appendix, gives an overview of the contents as a whole.
