In this paper a model for the spread of TB between bualoes and lions is presented and analysed. The most important system parameters are identied: vertical and horizontal disease transmission among the bualoes and the influence of intra-specic competition between healthy and diseased bualoes on the infected bualoes population. Removal of diseased prey appears to be the most eective strategy to render the ecosystem disease-free.

Abstract
