In the ancient world, tyranny and ges anadasmos are central not only in the historical development, but also in the ideological debate, in political propaganda, in philosophical reflection, finally in the definition of models and aims for the polis, its organization and its government. The historical analysis allows to observe the tension not only between the original idea of the community of citizens and its historical realization, but also among different ideas and symbols of extreme equality or injustice and illegality. Through the study of these tensions, the different implementations of ges anadasmos can be described as a danger to the democratic experiences and at the same time as an opportunity for the tyrant. Finally this research helps to identify an interesting case to see not only the use of social groups by the tyrant, but also the use of the tyrant by his group of supporters. First of all through the ownership of the land, they require the full citizenship, primarily understood as a privileged fruition of property following the confiscation and redistribution by the tyrant.

Abstract
First of all through the ownership of the land, they require the full citizenship, primarily understood as a privileged fruition of property following the confiscation and redistribution by the tyrant.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
