Abstract
Greek proverbs are often found in the prefaces of the Aldine editions of the Greek classics. Recent editors and commentators of these texts have sometimes failed to trace back the sources of these proverbs, or to find comparanda thereof. Indeed some of them are attested in Greek and Byzantine literature, while others might be translations into Greek of Latin proverbs made by Aldus himself.File in questo prodotto:
