Case AT.39816 Upstream gas supplies in Central and Eastern Europe, Decision of the European Commission of 24 May 2018 On 24 May 2018, the European Commission adopted a commitment decision in the Gazprom Case AT.39816 - Upstream gas supplies in Central and Eastern Europe pursuant to Article 9(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1/2003. The Commission confirmed that commitments proposed by Gazprom met its concerns, are accepted and binding upon the Russian oil giant. The Commission closed the proceedings. It is not going to impose a fine but reserves the right to do it without having to prove an infringement of the European Union antitrust rules in the future.
